Elite Sport in the Faroe Islands

This study evaluates the current elite sport system in the Faroe Islands.

The study’s conceptual framework draws on the SPLISS framework, which outlines the key characteristics of elite sport systems across nine pillars: funding, governance/sport policies, mass participation, talent identification and development, training facilities, coach development and supply, support for athletic and post-athletic careers, access to national and international competitions, and scientific research.
